Terms of Service for The Disarray Doctor

Welcome to The Disarray Doctor Professional Organizing Services. By using our website www.TheDisarrayDoctor.com and engaging in our services, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read this document carefully before using our services. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use our services.
- Services Provided
The Disarray Doctor provides professional organizing services, household management services, including but not limited to decluttering, cleaning, space planning, organizing, moving services (packing, unpacking, and move-in setup), and other related tasks (collectively, “Services”). The scope of services will be agreed upon prior to commencing any work and an estimate, based on the time it takes a clients to make decisions, will be discussed at the initial consultation.
- Client Responsibilities
The Client agrees to provide access to the premises at the scheduled time of service and ensure all necessary materials, items, or permissions are in place for the Organizer to complete the tasks.
– It is the Client’s responsibility to secure valuables and fragile items before services are rendered.
– The Client agrees to communicate any allergies, sensitivities, or specific concerns prior to the Organizer handling any household products or chemicals.
- Confidentiality and Privacy
We respect your privacy and will keep all personal and household information confidential. Any information regarding the Client’s home or personal life that is shared with us will remain private and will not be disclosed without the Client’s consent, except as required by law.
- Payment Terms
– Payment Methods: We accept payments via Stripe, Zelle, Quick Books, Cash or Check
– Service Fees: Fees for Services are outlined in our information sheet and can be found on our website. Payment is due as follows:
– Deposit: Deposits may be required at the time of booking for large jobs.
– Final Payment: Full payment is due upon completion of the agreed-upon services, unless otherwise specified in your service agreement.
– Hourly Services: If billed by the hour, payment for hours worked is due at the end of each service day.
– Package Services: If purchasing a package, payment terms for the entire package must be outlined before the service begins.
– Late Payments: Invoices not paid at the end of each scheduled daily session will be subject to a late fee of $50 per week. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate services if invoices remain unpaid for more than 30 days.
– Cancellations: We allow one cancellation per client then, any cancellation made less than 24 hours prior to the scheduled service will incur a cancellation fee of 50% of the total service fee, then 100% of the total service fee thereafter, per cancelled session.
– Rescheduling– Rescheduling can be done without penalty if at least 24 hours’ notice is provided.
- Scheduling and Timelines
– Services are provided by appointment. Clients are expected to be available for scheduled times or provide adequate access to the premises.
– Any delays or changes to the agreed-upon schedule must be communicated at least 24 hours in advance.
– We reserve the right to reschedule services in the event of unforeseen circumstances such as illness, emergencies, or inclement weather.
- Property Damage and Liability
– While we take great care in handling your possessions, The Disarray Doctor will not be held responsible for any damage caused to items during the organizing process unless caused by gross negligence.
– The Client agrees to release The Disarray Doctor from any liability or damages arising from services provided.
– It is the Client’s responsibility to ensure that any delicate or high-value items are stored appropriately before services commence.
- Termination of Services
Either party may terminate the service with 24 hour notice. Any prepaid services not yet rendered will be refunded, less any applicable fees. If the Client terminates the service during an active project, the Client will be responsible for paying for the work completed up to the point of termination. - Independent Contractor
The Disarray Doctor is an independent contractor and not an employee of the Client. As such, we maintain full control over how services are rendered, within the scope of the agreement, and do not receive employee benefits from the Client.
- Governing Law
These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts located in Franklin County, Ohio.
- Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Any changes will be posted on our website, and by continuing to use our services, you agree to the updated terms.
